Ripley

Rip­ley is an adapt­able type­face with mul­ti­ple axes designed to opti­mize on-screen leg­i­bil­i­ty. It com­bines his­tor­i­cal and con­tem­po­rary shapes to cre­ate a new serif design that serves as a tool­box for read­ers. In addi­tion, Rip­ley changes by react­ing to the ambi­ent light. It thus adapts to the time of day and the light avail­able in order to take into account that a reader’s eyes might be fatigued by the end of the day. Evolv­ing thus through­out the read­ing expe­ri­ence, it strives to pro­vide the best pos­si­ble on-screen legibility.
